The CLS Series locking cylinder is ideal for applications requiring intermediate and emergency stops or a fall prevention mechanism. The compact locking unit is lightweight and takes up very little space. Sensors on the brake cylinder are optional, enabling the state of the locking unit (brake piston) to be detected using the sensor signal. By separating the locking mechanism from the brake cylinder, SMC has minimized the influence of humidity and condensation on the quality of unlocked air.
